PSG Ganga Naidu & Sons Charities

PSG Ganga Naidu & Sons Charities was established in the year when Independence dawned on India. It was founded by Sriman PSG Ganga Naidu who was one among the four founding brothers of the illustrious PSG Institutions in Coimbatore. The objectives of the Charities include school education and free boarding for female children belonging to the backward and the underprivileged sections of the society.

It is presently administering with strength of about 2500 students, 175 staff and an orphanage of about 60 children. Today, the great grandson of Sriman Ganga Naidu, Narain Karthikeyan as a trustee is carrying forward his vision by personally involving himself with philanthropic effort.

Chennai Marathon

Lending his support to a race of another kind is Narain Karthikeyan’s endorsement of the GiveLife Chennai International Marathon in aid of the GiveLife Charity held on 22 August 2009. The event has received international accreditation from The Association of International Marathon Society, London. Organised by Chennai-based Tamil Maiyam and Goodwill Communications Ltd., the theme for this year’s run focuses on awareness on obesity and diabetes.

Coimbatore Cancer Foundation

The Coimbatore Cancer Foundation’s objective of ‘adding value to life’ has found an avid volunteer - Narain Karthikeyan. The Foundation owes its genesis to Padmabhushan K.Sreenivasan, whose visionary guidance continues to bring life to the organisation and its efforts. Narain is an active participant in the Foundation’s endeavours and constantly strives to be in aid of cancer patients.

Child Rights and You (CRY) Rally:

For once, Narain Karthikeyan was on the other side of the race, as he flagged off CRY MotoCause Rally on March 4, 2007 at Chennai. Speaking at the event, Narain said “I believe that all children in our country should enjoy their basic rights to a happy childhood. CRY is an organisation working towards this cause for over 28 years. It is my pleasure to be partnering CRY in MotoCause, thus helping impact the lives of many more children.”
